For my Film Studies coursework, I have decided to focus my attention on my self created question: How the representation of Britishness has changed through Heritage films through 1980's-1990's. Additionally,I will be studying the Heritage genre as part of women and film.
My focus film will be either A Room with a View directed by James Ivory and released in 1985, Howards End diretced by James Ivory and released in 1992 and The Kings Speech directed by Tom Hopper and released in 2010. At this early stage, I will have to watch each film and compare them before deciding which film will be a better focus film and which films will be better to be my related films.
My refrences are both book and internet sources. The books I will be refering my study to are: Consuming History written by Jerome De Groot.
